Meet Stitch!
Meet Stitch! This boy wins the prize for most adorable puppy-dog eyes, he melts hearts everywhere that he goes!
Stitch is a gentle, loving, and reserved boy who is looking for a nurturing forever home with lots of love and toys. He is the sweetest, most loving boy who just wants to be treasured.
Stitch is a 5-month-old Labrador* Pitbull mix who weighs 29lbs. He has a very athletic build, but he is not intense or high energy. For his age, he’s exceptionally calm and low maintenance at home. He happily sleeps beside his foster parents as they work from home and doesn’t get himself into any mischief. And he’s the perfect blend of snuggly and independent. He’ll come for snuggles with his humans but then find himself a comfy spot nearby for a snooze.
Stitch is very attached to his foster sister, Lilo, and we think that he would benefit from a confident and snuggly foster sibling in his forever home. Stitch loves to snuggle up with his doggie sibling and follows their lead when unsure about a situation. Stitch loves all of his doggie sibling and plays well with them all. He is also cat and kid friendly.
Despite his slightly timid nature, Stitch does well when out and about. His confidence would improve with time, but his foster family were impressed with his ability to adapt to different situations. He was wonderful when he represented the rescue at a fundraiser in a busy shopping mall, even managing to relax and fall asleep by the end of the event! And even when feeling shy (like at the vet!), Stitch allows himself to be poked and prodded without protest.
Stitch has experience living in both an apartment and a house with a securely fenced-in yard. While a fenced-in yard is always a bonus, Stitch was happy when living in the apartment, and he enjoyed his daily walks and trips to play at safe fenced in area. He is almost potty trained, does wonderfully in the crate (both when left alone and sleeping through the night), and is mostly great on leash (although excitable if a deer teases him!). Stitch does suffer from car sickness, but Dramamine seems to work like a charm!
