Meet Sparky!

Introducing Sparky, a sweet, calm terrier mix boy with a gentle temperament. Sparky loves dogs and humans alike, and his gentle nature makes him the perfect dog for a low-medium energy home.

Sparky is a gorgeously scruffy boy who has flourished in his foster home! This adorable boy is amazingly sweet and gentle. His foster parents say that he is a sensitive, loving soul who is just looking to be adored by his forever family. He is extremely easy-going and affectionate and doesn’t have a single mean bone in his body.

Sparky likes dogs, cats, and kiddos. We would love to find him a forever home where he doesn’t have to deal with high energy dogs or young kids, simply because his gentle nature is more suited to a quiet home environment.

Sparky is around 4.5 years old and weighs 25lbs. He is potty trained, and his foster family don’t use crates since he’s always been trustworthy to roam free. Sparky isn’t a fan of leashes, so a fenced in yard is a must for him.

Before Sparky came into our care, he unfortunately suffered from a hip injury, likely as the result of being hit by a car. After evaluations with 2 different orthopaedic specialists, it was determined that the injury was beyond repair, but that it doesn’t cause him significant discomfort. For this reason, Sparky won’t ever be a high energy dog who likes to hike or play endlessly. He is perfectly content being a playful, sweet homebody.

Sparky is initially shy with humans, but when provided with a nurturing family and a calm environment, he flourishes into a playful, sweet, loving boy. If you are looking for a low maintenance, loving boy who will be a loyal companion for life, look no further than Sparky!
