Introducing Sophie, a magnificently beautiful Belgian Malinois mix who is looking for a forever home that matches her gentle and loving personality.

Sophie is the opposite of the Belgian ‘Maligators’ that you see on social media. She’s calm, gentle, and snuggly. Her preferred way to spend the day is snuggled up next to her humans, snoozing and receiving love. The most demanding thing that she does is to ask for more pets and snuggles!

Sophie loves to play with her dog siblings. She gets bursts of playful energy when her doggie siblings invite her to play, but she remains amazingly gentle when playing with younger or smaller pups. Sophie loves the kids in her foster home (all teenagers), and we believe that she’d be wonderful with younger kiddos due to her patient, mild nature.

Sophie is around 2 years old and weighs 41lbs. She is fully potty trained, happily follows instructions to go into her crate, doesn’t destroy anything, and doesn’t use her bark to demand anything. She appears to have had pups previously and her maternal nurturing instincts are on full display when she’s with children or younger dogs.

Sophie is looking for a forever home to match her personality, rather than her breed. We hope to find a home where her gentle nature will be nurtured. We think that she’d love daily walks and gentle hikes, but she certainly isn’t demanding or high energy.

This girl is truly special. With the stunning looks of a Belgian Malinois mix, but the personality of a Golden Retriever, Sophie will make her forever family endlessly lucky.

Sophie is being fostered in Leander, TX and is adoptable throughout Texas and Northeastern states.
