A stunning 7-month-old Blue Heeler mix who weighs 36lbs.

Sombra (which is Spanish for "shadow") loves being close to his people. Whether you're making coffee, working around the house, or relaxing on the couch, this happy little guy will be right by your side, keeping you company with his sweet, cheerful personality. If you've ever wanted a best friend who thinks you're the center of his world, Sombra is your guy.

Sombra is as beautiful as he is unique. His striking, distinctive colouring makes him a true head-turner, giving him a one-of-a-kind look that's every bit as special as his personality. Once you meet him, it's impossible not to fall in love with both his handsome face and his joyful spirit.

Sombra is as smart as he is adorable. He figured out the dog door almost immediately and is already catching on to leash walking like a pro. He's a quick learner who loves figuring things out and approaches new experiences with confidence and curiosity.

This handsome boy is incredibly social. He loves playing with other dogs and would be thrilled to have a canine companion. He's also been very friendly with the resident cat. He's curious about what she's doing but is always polite and respectful.

Sombra is nimble, playful, and always ready for fun, but his favorite place is simply wherever his people are. He's crate trained and settles in nicely when he can see his people or his doggy friends nearby. If he's left completely alone, he yips to let you know he'd much rather be with his family. The good news is that he's already made tremendous progress in this area, and as a smart, people-oriented pup, we expect his confidence will continue to grow.

With his joyful spirit, affectionate nature, and eagerness to learn, we think Sombra will make an amazing family dog. We expect he'll do wonderfully with children and would thrive in a home where he's included in everyday life and gets to share in all of life's adventures.
