Meet Reese!

Meet Reese aka Reese’s Pieces! This precious terrier mix puppy exudes happiness with his wiggles and “smiles”. Just the right mix of sugar and spice and he’s ready to find a fun-filled furever home.

Reese has big puppy energy and loves to play! He’ll bring out the toys from the toy box one at a time to give each one ample playtime. Like a typical puppy, chew toys are his favourite! He enjoys his foster dog sibling who is helping him with social cues and boundaries. They tussle inside and zoom around the yard outside.

Reese is the reigning tug-of-war champion and will bounce around chasing his rubber ball as long as he has someone to toss it. Reese will pop on the couch for a quick snuggle then it’s off to see what he might be missing. After playtime he’ll happily join the crew for a quick nap on the living room rug.

At 7.5 months old, he weighs around 17 lbs. He’ll most likely be around 25 lbs fully grown. He eats in his crate and sleeps all night in his crate, preferring it be located near his people. Other than those times, he enjoys being with the family, wherever they are. He was indifferent to the one cat that he was briefly exposed to.

He potties outside and we would consider him to be completely potty trained, as long as allowances are made for when he is transitioning into a new home and routine. He signals needing to potty by acting a little anxious to let you know he needs to go out. He’s very smart and his foster family are working on manners. While he has started leash training and is doing well, he does still pull a bit if you aren’t going in his direction. But this will improve with time and consistency.

Reese would enjoy a home with playmates, furry or human. He’s very curious so a secure fenced yard is very important. A family that won’t leave him for long amounts of time would be best suited for his personality.

This energetic sweetheart loves his people and loves to play! Is he your perfect match?

Reese is being fostered in Austin, TX and is adoptable in Texas and Northeastern states.
