Meet Peanut!
Peanut is a 1-year-old chihuahua mix sweetheart who weighs about 12 lbs. This little guy is full of love and charm, and he’s ready to find his forever home!
Peanut is extremely friendly and social—he adores children (and the feeling is always mutual!) and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. With bigger pups, he sometimes needs a couple of introductions to feel fully comfortable, but once he warms up, he’s all in for playtime. He’s happiest being near his people, but if you’re away, his doggy pals make excellent company.
One of Peanut’s best qualities is how much he wants to please. He’s a great listener, eager to learn, and quick to pick up on training. Because of this, he’s set up to become a well-mannered, loyal companion.
He’s also doing great with his crate training — he sleeps soundly in his crate as long as his humans are within sight. He doesn’t like to be in his crate when he cannot see his humans, so he sleeps in his crate in humans’ bedroom, but is trusted to roam free with his doggie friends when his foster family go out (with minimal chewing accdients). On top of that, he’s almost fully potty trained and hasn’t had any accidents in the last two weeks. Being a young pup, Peanut sometimes (albeit infrequently) confuses human possessions with his toys, but he’s smart and trainable and ready to learn.
Peanut is a happy-go-lucky pup who radiates sweetness. With his loving personality, playful spirit, and eagerness to bond, he’ll make a wonderful addition to any family.
Peanut is being fostered in Austin, TX and is adoptable throughout Texas and Northeastern states.
