Meet Opal!

Opal, a loving affectionate Poodle who is looking for a loving forever family. Opal is a sweet girl who loves to follow her foster momma around like a little shadow. She is super loving and soaks up scratches and pets. She’s also the perfect snuggle buddy! She is a little heart-stealer, be warned!

Opal is smart and knows how to entertain herself at home. She loves to chew on her chews and toys. She knows “sit” and “stay” and would be excited to learn more commands with her forever family!

Opal is good with other dogs but isn’t really playful with them. She mostly just happily co-exists with the dogs in her foster home. That said, we feel that she’d prefer to be the only dog in her forever home, so that she can soak up all of the love that she deserves.

Opal is a 2.5-year-old Standard Poodle mix. She weighs around 46lbs and won’t grow any larger from this point! She loves her walks and does well on leash. She is also fully potty trained, and crate trained. Her foster family trust her to sleep out with her carte at night and she does great! She also does well in the car.

Opal is a perfectly loving angel who will bring endless joy to her forever family. Her adopters must be aware that while she loves women and kids, she does need time to warm up to men. She finds strange men to be extremely scary but adjusts well to living with them if given the appropriate time to adapt. We would be happy to see her go to a family home where there are men, but we do want to emphasise that she will need time to feel comfortable around them, and she will thrive with females to bond with.
