Meet Max!
Max is a 10-year-old, 9lbs Yorkshire Terrier who is looking for a loving forever home. He was dumped by his “family” but his faith and love for humans remains untarnished. He’s ready to settle into a loving, forever home where he can enjoy his golden years.
Max is super easy and adorable. His foster family says that he’s the perfect mix of loving and independent. He is friendly to all humans and dogs, and he especially thrives when he has bigger dogs to love on.
Max’s calm, gentle temperament is instantly endearing. He is a mellow, low maintenance boy who is happy with the small things in life: a cosy bed, yummy food, and lovings from his humans. And just wait until you hear his grunts and snorts of happiness when he gets pets! His foster family love his adorable little face.
Max remains spry and agile despite his age, which is typical of Yorkies! He can easily hop up on to the sofa or bed when he wants to. And he doesn’t seem to have any obvious health issues at this time. That being said, he is a senior dog, so his adopters will need to be aware that he may have some extra medical needs, although we don’t know of any currently.
Max is fully potty trained and will ask to go out if he really needs to potty. His foster family don’t crate him since there is really no need. He will simply snooze until his humans return home. He doesn’t have much leash experience, but we know that he’d do well on leash and would likely enjoy some gentle walks.
Apply to adopt Max today and let him fill your life with love and cuteness!
Max is being fostered in Leander, TX and is available for adoption in throughout Texas and Northeastern states.
*And, if you’d be open to it, Max was dumped with his “brother”, Toby, a 9-year-old Anatolian Shepherd, who is also adoptable. While they do fine while apart (we tested it!), they do care for each other, and we’d love to see them go to a forever home together, if possible!
