Meet Lil Bit!

Lil Bit is an approximately 1.5-year-old, 10-lbs West Highland Terrier mix who has quickly shown us what a sweet, loving little guy he is.

Lil Bit came to us as an owner surrender, and understandably, he was sad and anxious during his first few days in a new environment. Once he realized he was safe and settled in, though, his personality really began to shine. He is affectionate, gentle, and enjoys being part of the family.

He is potty trained and sleeps comfortably in his crate in his foster family’s bedroom at night. During the day, he is trusted to roam freely with hi foster dog siblings when his foster family is out of the house, and he has not shown any destructive behaviour. He does great on a leash and is generally a quiet little guy. He may bark a couple of times when we first leave the house, but he settles down quickly and does not continue barking.

Lil Bit absolutely loves other dogs and seems happiest with canine companionship, so we would especially love to see him go to a home with another friendly dog. He also loves spending time outside in the backyard, so a securely fenced yard would be preferred for his future home.

Lil Bit has gone through a big change in a short amount of time, but once he feels comfortable, he is an incredibly sweet and easy little companion. Because of his small size, he’s the perfect little size for cuddling, but he still loves exploring the yard and hanging out with his dog friends.

Lil Bit is being fostered in Austin, TX and is adoptable in Texas and Northeastern States.
