Meet LeFou!

Lefou is a 4.5-month-old shepherd mix weighing 32 lbs, and he’s such a fun, happy puppy. He has that perfect combination of playful energy and sweet affection that makes this age so special. Lefou absolutely loves squeaky toys, stuffies, and chewing on bully sticks. He’s what we like to call a self-starter — if no one is available to play, he’ll happily toss his toys into the air and pounce on them all by himself for a full independent play session. He keeps himself entertained and it’s incredibly cute to watch.

Food is Lefou’s absolute favorite thing in the world, which makes training a breeze. He is extremely food motivated and eager to learn. While he hasn’t had much leash training yet, his love of treats and natural curiosity about the world will help him pick it up quickly. We think he’s going to love exploring on walks with his forever family.

Lefou is crate trained and sleeps soundly through the night without a peep. He’s also making progress with potty training. As long as he’s taken out regularly, he does very well — he is still working with a tiny 4-month-old bladder, after all. He loves other dogs!

Lefou does well with children, but he is still in the puppy teething and mouthy stage. Because of that, we recommend dog-savvy kids or slightly older children who understand typical puppy behavior and can handle playful nibbles. Lefou is a joyful, affectionate pup who is ready to continue learning and growing with a family of his own. With structure, consistency, and lots of treats, he is going to make an incredible companion.
