Meet Cruz!

Meet Cruz! Cruz is a gorgeous, 1 year old Golden Retriever * Great Pyrenees Mix who is looking for his forever home. Because of his size and loud voice, Cruz can feel a little intimidating at first, but in truth, he is just a big lap dog who wants to love and to be loved.

Cruz has long legs and loves to play, so he would do best in a home with a larger fenced-in yard and at least a 6’ fence. Cruz walks well on a leash and is crate and potty trained. Cruz works best with slow introductions to new people until he knows they are safe. A treat (or 2!) helps since he’s food motivated. Cruz gets along well with other dogs and is cat friendly.

Cruz weighs 61lbs, but we think that a healthy weight would be closer to 70lbs. He is doing great learning commands like “sit,” “come,” and “place.” He is gentle in his grooming routines and is a dream when trimming his nails, getting a bath, being brushed and even getting his teeth brushed!

Cruz will thrive in a home where he can be himself, with lots of outdoor play and indoor cuddles. He sleeps in his crate all through the night without a peep, but wouldn’t mind cuddling with his humans.

Cruz is currently being fostered in Round Rock, TX and is available for adoption in Texas and the Northeastern states.
