Meet Cora, a stunning Flat-Coated Retriever mix looking for a loving forever home.

Cora is a fun-loving, affectionate girl who loves nothing more than to be with her humans. She is a loyal companion, happily going to restaurant patios, farmers markets, or just chilling with her humans at home. She is exceptionally attentive to her humans, with a gentle and affectionate personality which brings joy to all of those that meet her. She does these little yawn-howls when she is excited and she gives the best kisses in the world.

Cora thrives with attention and adventure. She has a lively, playful nature and could easily become a perfect hiking buddy! She is eager to please her humans and will do anything for lovings. Cora would love an energetic forever family who provide her with plenty of exercise and enrichment. We are looking for a forever home with a fenced in yard so that she can sunbathe and play to her heart’s content.

Cora is around 1.5 years old and weighs 52lbs. She is great in the car, completely potty trained, knows how to use doggie doors, and is doing well on leash (except for the occasional over-excitement at seeing a potential friend!). She is still in the early stages of crate training, so she still needs little help getting into the crate, but she doesn’t make a peep once she is inside, and she sleeps through the night in her crate like an angel!

Cora is ready for a patient, loving family to call her own. While she still has some characteristics of an excited puppy, she is ready to give her entire heart to those who will spoil her forever. In her puppy-like excitement, she does occasionally get overexcited and try to jump up at her humans, but that’s just an overflow of love that she can learn to control.

This sweet soul is a true gem of a dog. She is the perfect blend of energetic and affectionate, and her forever family will be extremely lucky!

Cora is currently being fostered in Austin, TX and is available for adoption in Texas and the Northeastern states.
