Carmen is a gentle, easy-going Shih Tzu with a heart full of love.

She adores people, happily curling up next to you for naps or following you around the house just to be close. She’s the definition of low-drama and brings a peaceful, comforting presence wherever she goes. At 8 years old, Carmen thrives in peaceful home environments where she can relax and enjoy the comfort and love of rescued life.

Carmen gets along well with other dogs and currently lives harmoniously with six of them. That said, she’d truly shine in a calmer home with another quieter canine friends—or even as someone’s one-and-only. She’s the type who enjoys being part of the pack but often opts to slip away to a cozy spot for some quiet time.

She loves spending time outside, enjoys car rides, and has been great around kids. She’s fully potty trained and crate trained, making her an easy addition to just about any household. She weighs 12lbs and is wonderfully easy going.

Carmen would be a wonderful match for a person or family looking for a calm, affectionate “love bug” who will reward your kindness with loyalty and warmth. She loves kids and loves to hang out with her foster dad at home.
