Meet Benito! This 5-year-old energetic Chihuahua mix loves to be close to his human and to give lots of kisses. He is sweet and friendly with both dogs and humans. He is playful and happy in his foster home and is ready to find a loving forever home.

Even though he only weighs around 9lbs, Benito does really well playing with larger pups (up to 50lbs) in his foster home. He's not the most eager walker but will happily come along on your walks being carried in a backpack! He’s ready for the Passenger Prince life. But we’re sure that he would also grow to enjoy walks with time.

Benito prefers to be with his humans and is the classic Velcro-dog Chihuahua who just longs to be surrounded by human love at all times. He will want to share his forever human(s) bed at night and prefers adopters who are home more often than not. He loves treats, fluffy beds, and couch snuggle time, and is an enthusiastic eater!

Benito lived outside for the entirety of his first 5 years on this planet, so potty training isn’t going that well. This is something that a patient adopter will need to work through, but Belly Bands are a perfect solution for the time being!
