Meet Benita!

Meet Benita! This sweet girl is ready to find her forever family.

Benita is a sweet Chihuahua * Miniature Fox Terrier mix who is very easy-going and well-behaved. She absolutely loves playing with other dogs of all sizes and enjoys doing zoomies. When she doesn’t have a playmate, she entertains herself with her stuffed animals. She also loves being outside, especially when the back door is open so she can go in and out freely. She enjoys sunbathing and relaxing outdoors.

During the day, she usually naps on her bed, and at night she likes to cuddle and sleep close to you. She has a big appetite and gets very excited during mealtime she eats quickly and then checks the other dogs' bowls to see if any food was left behind, though she shows no signs of food aggression.

Benita is kid friendly and adores other dogs. She is around 1.5 years old and weighs 13lbs. She has previously lived with cats, but she was a little too interested in them, so we’d recommend a forever home without cats.

Benita does find new people to be a little scary to start with, so she needs a little time to feel comfortable with new humans. She absolutely does not need the same time to warm up to other dogs! For this reason, she’ll make the perfect bestie for a playful dog friend. We’d also recommend homes without young kiddos due to her sensitive nature.

Benita is potty trained, and she’s been working hard at getting used to the leash. She will walk on it, but she tends to be a bit nervous about her surroundings, so for this reason we’re also looking for a home with a fenced in yard for this sweetie pie.

Benita is being fostered in Round Rock, TX and is adoptable throughout Texas and Northeastern states.
