Meet Bella!
Bella is a 6-month-old, 40lb, female bulldog mix with the softest soul and the sweetest heart. She’s a playful, happy puppy who loves to romp around with other dogs, yet she also has a gentle, sensitive side that makes her extra special. Bella does well with cats and kids, though like any young pup, she sometimes needs reminders to tone down her enthusiasm—especially with feline friends who may not always be in the mood to play.
Bella has settled in beautifully in her foster home and continues to gain confidence every day. She can be shy and cautious when meeting new people, taking a little time to warm up and build trust. Once she does, she blossoms into the most affectionate, loving little girl who wants nothing more than to be close to her people.
One of Bella’s favorite things in the world is water! She loves splashing around and will happily drink from a hose, sink, or anywhere there’s running water—and bath time is truly her happy place. She’s also incredibly expressive and will gently use her paws like hands to communicate and show affection.
Bella enjoys playing with toys, chewing on bully sticks, and is food-motivated (treats go a long way with winning her heart!). She’s had some leash training and is picking it up quickly. She shares toys and treats beautifully with other dogs and is known for being an elite snuggler—whether curled up on the couch or tucked in close at bedtime.
Bella is fully potty trained and crate trained. She views her crate as a safe, cozy space and prefers to sleep there at night. During the day, she’s perfectly content relaxing in her crate with a chew or bone.
Bella will make a wonderful family dog for the right home. Her adopters should be patient and understanding, giving her the decompression time she needs to feel safe and secure. With kindness, consistency, and love, Bella will reward her family with unwavering affection, loyalty, and cuddles galore.
If you’re looking for a sweet, snuggly, water-loving pup with a heart of gold, Bella just might be your girl. Bella is being fostered in CT and is adoptable throughout the Northeastern states.
