Meet Baby Bear!

Meet Baby Bear, a beautiful Labrador * Sharpei mix who is looking for a forever home.

Baby Bear is a confident and outgoing girl who is also ready for adventure. She loves people and wants to say hi everyone she meets. She enjoys chasing squirrels and playing with all her fur siblings, having previously lived with cats, dogs of all sizes, and even bunnies. She loves the company of her fur-siblings and thrives in their presence.

Baby Bear thrives with structure. She would do best with a more active family—outings, walks, hikes, and another playful dog or dog-friendly cat in her forever home. She could be an only pet if the environment is right: active, possible work from home or if not, open to doggie day camp or training, but she would prefer to have a playful dog or cat sibling in her forever home. Her forever home should have a fenced in yard so that she has an outlet for her energy. She is easily trainable and food motivated.

Baby Bear is active/energetic but can also be calm and independent and not overly needy. She’s non-destructive with home furnishings and decor—however, stuffed toys may have a short life! She doesn’t have any issues with thunderstorms or fireworks either.

Baby Bear is 13 months old and weighs 47lbs. She is completely house trained and knows how to use doggie doors. She is good on leash and continues to work on her skills! She doesn’t pull but she does get super excited (happy-excited) when she sees other dogs or animals. And sometimes when overexcited, she tries to jump up at her humans, but that’s just an overflow of love that she is learning to control! She isn’t crate trained, but she is trustworthy roaming free when left home alone.

Baby Bear is currently being fostered in Austin, TX and is available for adoption in Texas and the Northeastern states.
