Meet Aspen & Celeste — a bonded pair of tiny survivors looking for a patient, loving forever home together.

These approximately 1-year-old female Chihuahuas came from a 50-dog hoarding case in Texas, and despite their difficult start, they are making incredible progress every single day.

Aspen, the dark brown pup at about 7 lbs, is the confident “big sister” of the pair. She is curious, playful, and incredibly affectionate once she feels safe. Her favourite place is curled up in a lap like a little croissant soaking up attention. She loves exploring, playing, and helping Celeste learn that people can be kind.

Celeste, approximately 8 lbs, is the more cautious of the two. She can be skittish at first, but in just one week she has already shown huge improvements. She takes comfort in following Aspen’s lead but is also beginning to branch out on her own — whether that means snuggling with other dogs or quietly hanging nearby watching the world.

Together, these girls are absolutely adorable. They love chasing each other around, wrestling, cuddling, and figuring out how to simply be dogs. They are learning potty training, discovering toys, and gaining confidence a little more every day.

Aspen and Celeste need a quiet, patient home that understands shy dogs and will give them time to continue blossoming. Because sudden movements and loud environments can still scare them, a home without small children would be best.

They truly balance each other perfectly — Aspen brings confidence and curiosity, while Celeste brings sweetness and gentle loyalty. Watching them grow together has been incredibly rewarding, and they deserve a family willing to give them the love and stability they’ve never had before.

Aspen and Celeste are being fostered in Austin, TX and are adoptable in Texas and Northeastern States.
