Meet Arthur and Warwick, a bonded pair of male Terrier and Dachshund mix pups who are looking for a patient and loving forever home!

Arthur and Warwick are a precious pair of pups who were found lost and neglected on the streets of San Antonio. They are working hard on learning to trust humans in foster care. With the right love, PATIENCE, and attention, these babies will thrive!

Arthur and Warwick are still working on understanding human affection, but they are making great strides. You can see that they want to trust and be loved on. Their soulful eyes tell you that their sad story can become a happy one. They happily take food and treats from their humans, and they are very treat motivated. They will come up to their foster mom and boop their noses to her hands, but they are fearful of strangers in the beginning. While they don’t yet feel comfortable enough to be picked up by strangers, but they do allow pets from their foster mom. Their food motivated nature means that they will continue to thrive with positive reinforcement and enrichment. Once they feel comfortable, you’ll see their sweet, fun personalities emerge!

These babies will initially find other dogs to be daunting, but they really light up around other playful dogs their size once they feel comfortable! They know to potty on pads and sleep happily in their pen together. They have not yet experienced any leash training, so a fenced yard and a patient adopter is a must.

Given their history, it makes sense that Arthur and Warwick can be a little shy with new humans so being calm during initial meetings will help them to feel more confident. If you are willing to take it slowly and to work for their affection, you will be rewarded with playful, happy pups in time. While they start out scared, they are happy and loving and wanting to trust.

Arthur is around 10 months old and weighs 10lbs. He is the more outgoing of the boys and allows himself to be held and bathed. His gorgeous red coat is soft and fluffy. Warwick is the shier of the two. His scruffy beige coat is adorable. He weighs around 7lbs and is 9 months old.
