Amelia was name after Amelia Earhart thanks to her incredible ability to “fly” (she will jump up into her foster mom’s arms!). She’s super smart and learns commands super fast! She knows how to sit and jump up, and we know that she could learn a bunch of tricks!

Amelia is a playful, sweet girl who loves her walks. She loves to snuggle and to sit on top of the couch like a cat. She does start out a little shy with new humans, but she is won over easily with love, treats, and patience.

Amelia is a master cuddler at night and loves to be near her human. She’s looking for a human who works from home or a home body who will become her lifelong best friend. She is going to make someone very happy! She is also great with other dogs, although she can be a little protective when her human is eating.

Amelia is a terrier mix who weighs 14lbs and is around 1.5 to 2 years old. She is potty trained and great on leash. She sleeps through the night with her foster mommy and roams free when left home alone. She isn’t a fan of crates but is trustworthy not crated. She can be vocal so an apartment may not be the best option.
